Beautiful tranquil romantic cosy hideaway for our first Wedding Anniversary weekend. This place really is a gem, surrounded by fields, mountains and trees, 2 mins drive from Wollombi village (closest proper shops in Cessnock and you don't want to go there unless you really have to so bring supplies). The cottage is exquisitely decorated, the kind of place you see in those glossy country homes magazines. The country style kitchen has everything you need. The bath and shower are so amazing I could have spent the whole weekend in there. Close to all the Hunter Valley has to offer although personally I would avoid the big commercial wineries and attractions around Pokolbin and rather visit some closer boutique wineries around Wollombi and Broke. The drive from Wollombi to Broke is stunning and if you love organic wine, the cottage is very close to beautiful Krinklewood. Ascella is a little further but has maybe the friendliest cellar door in the Hunter. Jacqui our host was brilliant and gave us all the info we needed. We have visited the Hunter many times but this was our best stay yet. Thank you Jacqui for an amazing weekend :)

Thank you to Jacqui and Craig from Cowboy's Cabin at Wollombi for allowing us to stay over the long weekend. We had the most relaxing days we could ask for and we couldn't fault a thing! The photos you see on the net of the cabin and location do not do this property justice. It's absolutely perfect! Jacqui has decorated it so beautifully and has placed everything you would ever need, we felt at home straight away. From the comfortable mattress, the bath tub (massive hit!), waking up to the cows, the fire place and that over sized window overlooking the fields.. We were in heaven, I highly recommend anyone who's looking to escape the noise of the city to stay at the Cowboy's Cabin! I suggest to book early as its a hit and I can sense it will be very popular! We will be back! Thank you again, keep up the great work and say hi to Rufus for us!
